All the songs are given a thorough review by music industry professionals who have actual connections to music publishing, producers, artists, and record labels. The songs are then judged by music industry professionals who have collaborated with notable artists such as Neil Young, Justin Timberlake, Tony Bennett, Britney Spears, Kenny Rogers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Fray, Train, and dozens of other artists.
Participants are awarded a free trial with unrestricted access to SongU.com each year, in addition to a free piece of music notation software (compatible with either Mac or Windows).
